Ever heard the phrase, "when you hear hoofbeats, think horses, not zebras"? It means that the most common explanation for a patient's presentation is more likely than something "rare." It's this mindset that's so prevalent in the medical industry which leaves so many chronically ill and medically complex patients misdiagnosed, dismissed, gaslit, and just plain miserable. I created this design for myself and my fellow zebras to tell the world that sometimes (more often than you'd think!) when you hear hoofbeats, it IS a fucking zebra.
