Intricately wrapped in protective, artisanal copper wire framing, it acts as a unique, grounding statement piece that anchors you to the deep history of the Earth.
Featured here is a premium, hand-selected specimen of Mary Ellen Jasper, sourced directly from the historic Mary Ellen Mine in Biwabik, Minnesota. Each pendant is accompanied by an official letter of authenticity issued by the owner of the Mary Ellen Mine.
Mary Ellen Jasper contains 1.88 billion year old fossilized algae, known as stromatolites. stromatolites are some of the earliest and complex organisms in geological history. They were formed by cyanobacterial microbial mats, growing sinuously over and through layers of precipitated sediments, creating the lovely layer or waves Mary Ellen Jasper is known for. This ancient algae is credited with helping raise the oxygen level from 2% to the present day 21% that we breath today!
