Constellation Necklace Beadwoven Jewelry Statement Necklace Swarovski Crystal Rivoli Stones Baroque Pearls MOP Goldstone

I created this free form necklace, Constellation, for the 2013 Battle of the Beadsmith competition.

As a focal I envisioned a Tree of Life made with a vintage mother of pearl cabochon, 3 mm genuine pearls and size 15 seed beads.

Materials used:
mother of pearl cabochon (40 x 30 mm), Swarovski crystal Rivoli stones Moonlight (14 and 16 mm), goldstone cabochons (8 mm), genuine/baroque pearls (12 mm white coin pearls, 8 mm copper and peach pearls, 3 mm gray pearls), size 15 Miyuki seed beads, antique gold chainmaille vintage chain (17 inch (or 43 cm) plus 8 cm extension . For the backing I used golden lambskin.

Overall size of piece 6” x 6” (approx. 15 cm x 15 cm)
