I made my mother-in-law one :)

I used #20 crochet thread and a 1.25mm steel hook (Clover brand)
and it turned out to be about 16' x 24'

The book has been translated into English ( where vital) and it includes a video link to a "How to filet crochet " video
and a " How to cross double crochet" video

the stitches used are : chain and double crochet ( US double, UK Treble)

If you want to buy this pattern and don't know how to filet crochet you may need to use various YouTube videos to help you learn. The pattern squares don't reflect the border of the monogram so some math will need to be done to make the border. Other than that, it turned LOVELY!!!!
