By popular request I have specifically designed this hat using LIGHT worsted weight (US = Light/3, UK = Double Knitting/DK, Australian = 8ply) yarn. If you are unfamiliar with the yarn weight system please see: http://www.craftyarncouncil.com/weight.html.

This fun design suits boys, girls, men and women and works up beautifully in cotton, acrylic or wool. The combination of ridges and colour changes cause a fun peek-a-boo effect and the ribbed knit-style band makes for a professional finish. This design makes an awesome slouchy too! Just by crocheting a few extra rounds you can add some serious grunge factor to your hat...

Please note that this particular design has a lot of stretch (my toddler samples stretched up to two inches for example) and hence the sizing is smaller than my other patterns.

Newborn 12"
Baby 3 to 6 months 13.5"
Baby 6 to 12 months 15"
Toddler 1 to 2 years 16.5"
Kid 3 to 12 years 18"
Teen/Ladies 12 to 18 years + 19"
Adult/Large 18 years + 20"

All my patterns are written in American crochet terminology and in English. This pattern is rated Easy. You need to know how to work around the post of a stitch as both front and back post stitches are used in the pattern. You will also require a 5.0mm (US H) hook.
