"Gate" Style Half Screen Door Grille, simple, protective screen door grille. Protects your door from pets, kids, feet, etc.

Standard size is 34"w x 22 3/8"h. The bars are 2.25" apart.

Colors available for all designs are white, black, bronze, hunter green (NEW) and mill finish (unpainted).

This half door grille is easily attached 4 fasteners, just as our full size door grilles. Protect your screen door from pets, children, etc., while adding a decorative, custom touch to your entryway.

Every handmade grille in this collection is designed and handcrafted by metal artisan, Peter Todd Hudson. Grilles are all aluminum and are TIG welded and powder coated in our shop.

Grilles will not rust and are low maintenance, once installed.

Each grille is designed to be easily attached to any standard size screen door (36" x 80"). All grilles are 34" x 58", at the tallest and widest points. Each door grille comes with 4 fasteners which will be used to attach it to your existing door.



About the artist...
Peter Todd Hudson is a true Florida native and current resident of Sarasota, Florida. Well, actually he lives in Ellenton, but unless you are a local, you are probably not familiar with this small town just north of Sarasota. Peter spent his early childhood in Orlando, and then moved to Sarasota, where he lived until leaving for college.

Throughout his teen years and young adult life, Peter worked with his father in the pool and patio industry. He was always fascinated with the versatility of the aluminum they used for building, and often spent countless hours considering the many things that could be created with this light and durable metal. When he wasn't working, Peter spent his time in or near the water - fishing, boating, windsurfing, canoeing...you name it.

After receiving a degree in Engineering from the University of Alabama, he returned to his native Florida to work in the family business of building custom screen and glass pool and patio enclosures....and he sure didn't mind being able to breathe the salt air again!

Finally, Peter decided to put his passion for working with metal and his love of Florida's outdoors and wildlife to good use by creating metal artwork that would both display the beauty of nature, and stand the test of time. What better medium to capture the creatures of the salt and sea than this non-rusting, light-weight metal.

Recently, Peter decided to create the line of handcrafted door grilles you see here. These grilles are designed for homeowners who want to add a beautiful, custom, decorative element to their front entryway, patio or porch entrance, without the burden and expense of installing a brand new door.
