After many requests from our clients, my father and I, decided to launch our new jaques style chess board. We use padauk-maple for the squares and black wenge for the frame. This combination creates a really greate look and be sure will bring a lot of elegance at your place! It’s a real eye cather chess board made with selected woods and carefully crafted. We are not hurry the process of making the boards and that’s why they may take some time until shipping, but be sure once you will receive the board you will feel the care we are taking of those boards!

• Small size: 16.5 inches (42cm), playing area is 14.5 inches ( 4.6 cm each square).

• Medium size(standard Staunton 5 size): 18 inches (45.8cm), playing area is 16 inches (5.1cm each square).

• Large size(standard Staunton 6 size): 20 inches (51 cm), playing area is 18 inches (5.7cm each square).

•X Large size: 21 inches (53cm) playing area 19 inches (6cm each square)

Every piece is unique and different, the materials that we are using are solid wood that we are selecting it very careful and we take care the wood we are using to be completely dry. Every piece of wood has its own unique color hue so every chess board cannot be exactly the same with any other. My father and i creating these beautiful chess boards with a lot of care and passion . We are sanding the wood very carefully by hand and stick the squares piece by piece . We apply 3 times acrylic matte polish to keep and protect the chess board for a lot of years and to travel from generation to generation. This acrylic polish we are using is hard so scratches can not be made that easy as if we would use the regular polish. This chess board is 100% handmade so every piece we make it may has small differences that makes it unique.


The chess board comes with pieces of felt under in order to protect the chessboard and the surface that you will use for it.

Please be aware that because wood is a natural material, slight discoloration, blemishes, imperfections, may be visible. These imperfections should not be misconstrued as flaws, as this is what makes each item beautiful and unique.

As a result the product can vary slightly from the pictures.

All of our products are individually made, one piece at a time, finished by hand, therefore each product may differ slightly from the next, as each item is custom made.
