The RAFI table lamp. Handcrafted, one-of-a-kind fiberglass resin table lamp. Inspired by nature organic Jellyfish and Mushroom shaped lighting. Small studio craftsmanship. Made in Los Angeles.

The liquid resin start off in flux as it drops down but, quickly hardens leaving the melting drips frozen in time. The final outcome is an other-worldly beautiful jewel like, crystal, jellyfish, mushrooms, organic, one-of-a-kind sculptural lamp.

I start off by cutting, tying, and shaping the fiberglass fabric to form a basic lamp shape. Then, I mix the resin, color dye and catalyst. Next, I start to brush, pour, and drip the liquid resin onto the fiberglass fabric. As I am pouring the resin I am also shaping and pulling the fabric by hand as it is quickly hardening. The resin hardens in about 15-20 minutes so I have to work quickly. Each lamp has several pours of resin to reach its final form.

This unique handmade home decor table lamp is perfect for living rooms, dinning rooms, bedrooms, bar, or restaurant.

This lamp has two resin individual parts that are put together to create the final table lamp.

The colors is red and yellow translucent fiberglass.

Comes with a 7 feet long cord with attached dimmer.

Uses one low voltage standard clear glass LED bulb included.

This lamp is beautiful in my living room, whether it's turned on or off. It's a fun conversation piece that draws visitors' attention. It's cool to see Javier's creative process on Instagram. I happen to live near Javier's studio, so he gave me a tour. I saw all the lamps he has posted, and my sense is that the colors match those in the photos. The lamp came with hardware to mount to a junction box in the ceiling, but I attached a longer cord and set it up as a swag light plugged into a wall outlet. I recommend buying the lamp first and measuring, as a normal extension cord type of wire wouldn't fit through the hole at the top, and the cord needs to be weight-bearing. There's an antique lamp part supply company online with lots of options. Javier was responsive to my questions, and I recommend getting in touch before buying.
