Meet the dynamic behind TOOTH OGRES: Charles (Cho) and his wife, Misti (Mo).
These two incredible artists, travelers, explorers, adventurers, scientists, parents, and lovers of ALL have created something truly special.
Together they have raised two amazing children. Eli and Hannah are grown and crushing adulting but when Eli was still a little dude and began losing teeth Mo made him a Tooth Ogre to guard his tooth thru the night. Mo wanted to create a fun creature that appealed to ALL kids. It was this stuffed ogre that inspired Cho to research the lost tooth traditions of other countries and cultures. Cho wrote the Legend of the Tooth Ogre for his son and daughter who continue to inspire him to this day.
Cho likes using both sides of his brain; he holds a Master's in Homeland Security, is a certified dive instructor, an EMT, and an amazing author and artist. Cho spent nearly a decade as an Air Force Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) tech and another 10 years instructing the next generation...this means he kept the bad things from going boom and taught others to do the same. His level headedness typically prevents problems before they happen but sometimes he saves the day with a dad joke and a plate full of amazing lasagna. Everybody loves Cho! Mo certainly does, they work and play side by side.
Mo on the other hand always sees the proverbial glass as half empty but more importantly she is always working on ways to fill the glass back up. Working as a nurse practitioner was no longer enough. She knew she could do more. This drive landed her in a doctoral program with Johns Hopkins. Now she is Dr. Mo and and when she is not working in the clinic she's advocating for policy change, teaching seminars on minority stress and bias, and educating healthcare professionals about the importance of affirming healthcare.
Together Mo and Cho are unstoppable and they are beyond excited to introduce their latest creation: TOOTH OGRES. We hope you love your TOOTH OGRE as much as Eli and Hannah did. Adopt yours today!
Giving back is very important to the Schneidewinds. They started a nonprofit, Project I’Mpossible, to help serve their community and they have extensive experience in fund raising and countless volunteer initiatives. The Schneidewind family loves to see and do. They have swam with sea turtles in Hawaii’s reefs, off roaded through remote areas in Moab, hiked Zion’s narrows, rappelled down waterfalls in Maui & into caves in Puerto Rico, skied in the Bavarian Alps, placed a 30A sticker at the highest point in Germany, learned to make pasta with a chef in Venice, paddle boarded in the Bahamas, snorkeled with manatees in Florida’s springs, hung out at music festivals in Montreal, sailed thru new England, stargazed in Acadia, stood in awe of redwoods, and they cannot wait for their next adventures.
