The Artisan's Journey:
Witness the magic unfold as the creation process begins with dolomite stone, or "tóctetl," transformed through fire and grinding. Blended with oak charcoal, this mixture yields the deep black hue that characterizes the piece.

Nature's Palette:
Infused with nature's brilliance, pigments sourced from flower petals and mealybugs contribute to the array of colors, each telling a tale of Earth's offerings.

Layers of Mastery:
Layers of "tecoxtle," an iron oxide mixed with chia oil, and "tezicaltetl," a calcium carbonate blend, converge to form the captivating final layer named "tlapezole." This intricate application is polished to perfection using quartz, culminating in uniformity and brilliance.

A Pause in Time:
Following meticulous creation, the Lacquer Box rests for 10 to 15 days, allowing the lacquer to settle and mature, reflecting the patience that goes into every aspect of its making.
