High quality, natural OAK hardwood spheres, hand crafted in the UK from a joined piece of wood. The material is 100% natural American White Oak hardwood. The balls are hand turned and then sanded to a very smooth finish. Every single sphere is unique in appearance. The balls are organic and suitable for joinery or DIY parts or decorative displays and many other purposes such as ball feet, coffee table leg, bed feet, marble coffee table leg, furniture leg, Bed leg.
The orbits are suitable to play with, as decorative elements on their own or as part of a furniture construction, they can be used for crafts projects and can even be used as tai chi balls.
Please specify ANY size between 100 - 340mm. As they are handmade to order from the same log, the size can be tweaked to match your exact requirements. We can also fit dowels, drill holes, flatten off sides, so please request a custom quotation for your specific requirement.
These balls can be clear varnish coated, waxed, primed or coloured on request. Please send us a message. Thank you.
These balls ship within 4-7 days of manufacture.
Returns: Due to those items being custom crafted to order, they can not be returned, other than in the very unlikely case of quality issues
Bespoke/made-to-order: No change-of-mind cancellations/returns once production starts. Statutory rights for faulty goods are unaffected.
Natural material: Wood movement, grain variation and minor hairline checking can occur during acclimatisation. If cracking is significant or structural, contact us.
Transit damage (claims): For shipping insurance, report damage within 48 hours and keep all packaging for photos. This does not limit statutory rights.
Misuse/installation: Damage from impact, modification, incorrect installation or unsuitable environment is not covered. Inspection may be required to confirm cause.

This wood ball is just what I needed. It does have a joint between separate glued pieces of wood that is very near the top, and I worry that if I drop it, tha small piece might pop off.
I ordered from this shop and item didnt arrive and communication stopped completely. After a few days seller contacted me and explained the issue. He still completed the order and apologised Quality of the balls was good although a little rough and had some machining marks. I have had to sand them smooth. Delivery was late but didn't really matter to me once explained. Customer service was ok but some lack of communication, when it was needed. Overall I would use again.
6 stars for customer service, as it’s when something needs sorting that you find out just how good an Etsy seller is. I requested a custom change, which Michael was more than happy to accommodate, even coming back to me really quickly over the xmas period. There was a miscommunication over this request (Etsy doesn’t have drop downs for everything so sometimes details slip through the cracks) and Michael was more than happy to make sure I was happy, offering me free return on the first piece and a discount on the second. In the end I kept both as they are excellent and I can use them both. Really great pieces and excellent communication, thank you.
