Do you have a toddler who was disappointed when they discovered their Ghost Spider Halloween Costume came without her wings? In Spidey and his Amazing Friends, Gwen Stacy has white web wings that she uses to glide.

I made this to add to my own daughter’s costume. It is just a square printed tapestry type fabric. You can make it into DIY wings in several ways without sewing. For example, you could attach your own hairbands to the corners and put them on her wrists, and then cinch the middle with a ribbon. Then use safety pins to keep it even on her shoulders or fabric tape to keep it lined up on her back.

Or, you could fold it in half so that the print is on both sides. And then attach it the same way as above, or even cut a semi-circle shape out and hem with fabric tape.

The long side is 40 inches and the shorter side is 34 inches. My kiddo’s wingspan is about 30 inches so that leaves enough room for tying knots. If you would like the spider image rotated vertically so you could use this as a vertical cape, send me a message!

To be absolutely clear, you will only receive a square piece of 28.7”x38.4” fabric with the spiderweb print on one side. No ribbons or hairbands or instructions are included. It is up to you what you do with it! Google “diy no-sew wings” for lots of ideas.
