* HOW TO USE THE PIGMENTS *
_______________________________________

* Use only with Jesmonite® AC100, AC300 and AC730, other plaster & gypsum based eco-resins or cement. (NOT with epoxy-resin).
* Shake the bottle well (at least 1 minute) before use as the blended colours will separate and settle when not in use.
* Add to the Jesmonite® or polymer liquid BEFORE adding and mixing in the base powder.
* Stir the pigment and liquid together very well to ensure it’s well incorporated and gives you an even colour mix before adding the powder.
* Do not add the pigment to the powder or the mould directly.
* The official Jesmonite® guidelines recommend that liquid pigments should be added to a maximum of 2% by weight of the total mix, i.e. 20 grams pigment/1kg total mix (base and liquids).
* This also means you only need a few drops per couple of coasters.
* Keep the bottles tightly sealed to avoid drying out.

* ACHIEVING THE SHADES YOU WANT *

* Let your imagination run wild! You can achieve so many different shades just by varying your mix of pigment to powder.
* You can make even more unique colours of your own by blending my other custom blends together to create your own combinations.
* Remember to always blend the pigment with the correct amount of Jesmonite® or polymer LIQUID FIRST!
* The pigments are extremely concentrated and 50 ml will go a long way. You only need a few drops to create even saturated colours and only a few drops per couple of coasters.
* For pastel shades, start by mixing a tiny amount of pigment (use a toothpick for a pin prick of colour) into the liquid and build up from there.
* Remember that the Jesmonite® powder and other eco resins are whitish pink, so what you see in the liquid will lighten once powder is added.
* For deeper, more saturated colours, use the dropper to add one drop at a time until you achieve your desired colours.
* Remember, it’s better to start with light colours and gradually build up to the shade you want as you can’t go backwards.
* Generally, lighter shade mixes dry even lighter and darker shades could sometimes dry darker, so you will need to experiment to get to know how the pigment and powder behaves for your needs.
* Black pigment could look deceivingly like dark blue when mixed into Jesmonite® liquid, but as it dries it turns black.
* Remember to mix the tinted liquid and powder together VERY WELL before pouring into your mould. If you don’t mix well enough, you’ll get a mottled effect in your set piece as the undissolved powder shows through in tiny spots.
* For marble or ombre effects, mix up smaller amounts of different shades to pour into the mould together.
* For terrazzo effects, mix up different batches of terrazzo chips and once set, add them back into your new main mixture.

* HOW TO SEAL YOUR PIECES *

* Protect your INTERIOR Jesmonite® or plaster/gypsum eco-resin home decor products with my “Finishing Touch 100% Natural Coconut Oil & Soy Wax Sealer”.
* This should make your final colour slightly more vivid and add a lovely sheen.
* It adds a splash proof protection but is not 100% waterproof or dishwasher safe.
* Not for use on outdoor products or candle containers

* IMPORTANT NOTES (read before you buy) *

* The pigments are blended by hand in small batches, so while I am quite specific in my measurements and aim to produce consistent colours, there may be small variations in each batch.

* The colour you see in the bottle is very concentrated and doesn’t represent the final colour you will achieve once mixed with white Jesmonite® or other gypsum bases in your preferred quantities.
* The shade of colours you mix may vary a bit from the colours on the images because of your screen colour settings and your preferred quantities. Don’t worry, it’ll still be amazing.
* Jesmonite® and other gypsum powders are natural products, so your final product may vary slightly every time you pour a new batch.
* These water-based pigment blends are for use only with Jesmonite® AC100, AC300 and AC730, other plaster & gypsum based eco-resins or cement and NOT to be used with epoxy resin.
* When using pigments with AC300, the colour will not be as saturated and vivid as with AC100 due to the lower level of Acrylic Resin.
* Always mix the pigment into the Jesmonite® or polymer LIQUID FIRST and then mix the powder in. Remember to mix the tinted liquid and powder together very well before pouring into your mould. If you don’t mix well enough, you’ll get a mottled effect in your set piece.
* Do not allow the pigment to freeze and store above 5°C

* SAFETY NOTES *

* The pigments are safe, water-based, non-toxic and have no significant hazards, but you must avoid contact with eyes and do not ingest.
* Wash thoroughly or drink loads of water if accidental contact occurs.
* While not absolutely necessary, you may choose to wear gloves, goggles/glasses, overalls to protect skin, eyes and clothes.
* Avoid unnecessary, prolonged contact with skin.
* The pigments will stain surfaces, so always work on adequately covered and protected workspaces and keep bottles closed when not in use. Use adequate mixing containers to avoid excess spills and overflow.
