Antique French Jet Brooches – Choose Your Favourite (Numbers 1–4)

Description
A small curated group of late‑Victorian French jet brooches and dress accessories, each made from faceted black glass and original metal mounts. These pieces were worn between the 1880s and early 1900s, often for everyday dress, theatre wear, or mourning attire. Each brooch is labelled 1 to 5 in the photographs, and you can select your chosen piece from the dropdown menu.



Brooch 2 – Three Horseshoe Lucky Brooch (4.3 × 1.5 cm)
A charming Victorian good‑luck brooch featuring three horseshoes side‑by‑side, the centre one slightly larger. Horseshoe motifs were widely worn in the 1890s–1910s as symbols of protection and fortune.
Condition: One tiny historic repair on the lower part of the third horseshoe, neatly filled with black enamel. Very discreet.

Brooch 3 – Three Daisy Floral Brooch
A pretty French jet floral brooch with three daisy‑like clusters. Floral motifs were common in mourning jewellery, symbolising remembrance and gentle sentiment.
Condition: One tiny enamel repair on 2 petals where a stone was missing. Subtle and tidy.

4. Eye‑Shaped Faceted Buckle (4.3 × 2.4 cm)
Originally an eye‑shaped buckle used on belts, sashes or cloaks in the late Victorian period. Made from faceted French jet glass with a central bar for threading fabric.
Condition: No repairs. Strong sparkle.
