How quickly will my order be dispatched?

Most orders are dispatched within 1–4 business days. The vast majority of our UK orders are sent using Royal Mail Tracked 48 so you can follow your parcel from dispatch to delivery. We always prioritise orders placed with expedited shipping and aim to dispatch them as quickly as possible, including Saturdays where services are available. Sundays are excluded, as most shipping services are closed. For expedited orders placed before 12 noon, we aim to dispatch the following day. Orders placed after 12 noon may be dispatched the day after that. If we are away or unable to meet the expected expedited timeframe, we will contact you as soon as possible and refund the additional express shipping charge.

How long will delivery take?

Once your order has been dispatched, estimated delivery times are: • UK: approximately 2–4 business days (Royal Mail Tracked 48) • Europe: approximately 7–14 business days • Worldwide: approximately 10–28 business days If you need your item sooner, please send us a message before purchasing and we'll always do our best to help. Please note that these are estimated delivery times and can occasionally vary due to customs, weather or other courier delays outside our control.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes! We're delighted to ship our vintage finds to customers around the world. We primarily use Royal Mail's tracked international services, occasionally choosing other trusted couriers when better suited to your parcel. We understand international shipping can sometimes seem expensive. Costs vary by destination and may reflect customs duties, tariffs and handling fees. Some import charges may be payable separately upon delivery. We regularly review our shipping prices to keep them as fair and accurate as possible. If you have any questions, please get in touch- we're always happy to help! For customers in Germany, we're registered with the LUCID Packaging Register (DE2756179038390), with packaging licensed through Lizenzero.

Will I receive the exact item shown in the photographs?

Yes! Unless otherwise stated, you will receive the exact vintage item shown in the photographs. As each piece is genuinely vintage or preloved, signs of age and wear are to be expected and form part of its unique character. We always aim to photograph and describe each item as accurately as possible, including any notable imperfections.

Are your vintage items cleaned before listing?

Yes! Every item is carefully cleaned and inspected before being photographed and listed for sale. As every vintage piece is unique, we always clean each item with care and attention, ensuring it arrives ready to be enjoyed by its new owner.

What happens if my item arrives damaged?

We take great care to package every order securely, but if your item arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as possible with a few photographs of both the item and its packaging. We'll always do our best to resolve the situation quickly, fairly and with as little inconvenience as possible.

Do you accept returns?

As we're selling genuine vintage and preloved items, we generally don't accept returns unless an item has been misrepresented in its listing or description. If you have any concerns when your order arrives, please get in touch with us as soon as possible so we can work together to find a fair solution. As an Etsy customer, you're also covered by Etsy's Purchase Protection programme, which covers situations where an item doesn't arrive, arrives damaged or differs significantly from its description or photos.

Can I send an item as a gift?

Absolutely! If you're sending an item directly to someone else, simply enter their delivery address at checkout. If you'd like to include a short gift message, you can add one when placing your order and we'll happily handwrite it on a gift card to include in your parcel. We don't include printed invoices or receipts unless requested so no pricing information is enclosed with your order.

Can you reserve an item?

Yes, we're always happy to reserve an item where possible. Just send us a message and we'll be happy to arrange a reservation. We can usually hold items for up to two weeks. If we don't hear from you by the agreed date, we'll return the item to our shop so that someone else has the opportunity to enjoy it.

Do you reuse packaging?

Yes. Wherever possible, we reuse clean cardboard boxes, bubble wrap and other suitable packaging materials. This helps reduce waste and minimise our environmental impact, while also keeping our costs down so we can continue offering great value wherever possible. Rest assured, your vintage treasures will always be packaged carefully and securely for their journey. Please open your parcel carefully and avoid using sharp objects, as many of our items are fragile.

We don't know much about it as comes with no signs or stamps of a maker, surely looks and feels very old. Lightweight and small.

Absolutely gorgeous, authentic and a true collector's piece. Rope alone looks exceptional and most likely the knots are tied by a knot expect- so neat and tidy.

As per final two photos the compass has a small dent to the case close to "SW" and a tiny chip to the glass on the rim in the same spot. Perhaps compass sustained a fall over the years.

Other than that it is in an overall good and antique condition. Comes with no real flaws or defects, only shows traces of use such as a level of patina.

Beautifully made- incredible quality and craftsmanship. Light to moderate wear consistent with age. We estimate it could be older than 100 years old.
