Condition of Items:
All items are sold "as-is" and may show signs of age, wear and tear, or previous use. We endeavor to provide detailed descriptions and photographs to accurately represent the condition of each item. Prospective buyers should carefully review all information and ask questions before making a purchase.

Shipping and Handling:
While we take great care in packaging and shipping items, damage or loss may still occur during transit. Each of our items will have a tracking number by which it can be followed. We cannot be held responsible for the accuracy of this tracking information as it belongs to the responsible postal service. If an item incurs damage during transport it is expected the customer notifies us within 24 hours after delivery. We request detailed pictures of the item, the damage that has occurred, and the original packaging and label (including the box, filling materials and additional packaging). In addition, upon demand of the postal service, we may request you to file an official complaint with the responsible postal service (CN24 document). Failure to present these pictures, or failure to file said complaint, or failure to respect the 24 hours notification deadline, may lead to rejection of a (whole or partial) refund.
Return Policy – In Accordance with European Law:

We offer a 14-days return policy in compliance with Dutch law and European rules and regulations. You have the right to withdraw from the purchase and return the item within 14 days of receipt, without the requirement to provide a reason. To initiate a return, please notify us within this 14 days period.
The item must be returned in its original condition and packaging. Any refund for items originally purchased from us shall be dependent upon such items being in same shape and condition as when sold and shipped by us to you and such items still being saleable to third parties. Upon receipt and satisfactory inspection of the returned item, a refund will be issued, including the original cost of the item and the standard shipping charges. Please note that you are responsible for the cost of returning the item to us. For US customers, we pay the border tariffs as installed by President Trump (included in the price). In case of a return these will be deducted from the total refund as they cannot be refunded to us by the US government once paid by us.

Cancellation Policy
An order can be cancelled by sending us a message on the Etsy platform. An order can be cancelled as long as it has not been shipped. An order is considered ''shipped'' once a tracking number has been entered in the Etsy platform, even if Etsy still states it as a “pre-transit” order, as it takes time for the carrier’s communication to reach Etsy. Cancellation after shipment will require you to return the item after reception in line with the Return Policy above,
Governing Law and Jurisdiction:
Any disputes arising from the purchase or sale of items through VDF Antiques and Collectibles shall be governed by the laws of The Netherlands without regard to any applicable conflict-of-law provisions, if any, and any legal action or proceeding must be exclusively filed in the competent courts of The Netherlands. You irrevocably waive any objection which you at any time may have to the laying of the venue of any actions or proceedings in any court referred to in this clause and any claim that any such actions or proceedings in any such court have been brought in an inconvenient forum.
