Oh Boy! Mirror of Male Nude Figures
This bronze mirror titled "Oh Boy!" is the first time I have created a functional work of art. While I carved stone (my Lips Series) during the day, I worked on the men at night. This bronze composition features five nude males arranged to create a frame around a mirror. The men are arranged asymmetrically and thus, the mirror is best hung on the wall. However, you may also prefer to display on a small table easel.
This bronze artwork was great fun and I even signed my name in the lower part of the frame in reverse, such that the reflection in the mirror would read correctly. This irregular and unique mirror artwork makes a great gift, even if only for you!
This is considered a bas-relief sculpture, which means the forms are compressed. (Most wall-hanging sculptures are reliefs, bas mean "low" in French. The other is a high-relief, which means the sculpture is more 3-d with less compression.)

Your choice of patina: Traditional (transparent) or the "tan granite opaque" patina, shown here as well. The easel is sold separately, but the mirror bottom is at a slant, so perhaps it is better to hang on a wall. Note that the signature is written into the bronze in such a way that it reads correctly only in the mirror. The metal sculpture mirror frame with mirror has a saw-tooth type hanger on the back.
This functional art makes a great gift for anyone who would enjoy looking at the beauty of the male figure each morning as you brush your teeth or have a look before heading out the door for a night out.
Make sure to include your phone number for shipping purposes and choose the patina (color finish on the metal sculpture.)
