Acronyms/Shorthand Explained
- CODE STATUS: DNR = do not resuscitate; DNI = do not intubate; I-OK = intubation ok
- RESPIRATORY: RA= room air; NC= nasal cannula; HFNC = high flow nasal cannula; mask = oxy mask; CPO = continuous pulse ox
- GI: 1:1 = feeder (needs 100% of your attention while they eat/feed them); supervision = meals must be supervised; no straws= no straws as directed by SLP
- GU: cont = continent; incont = incontinent
- MOBILITY: indep = independent; SBA = stand by assist; CGA = contact guard assist (x1=1 person contact)(x2=2 persons needed to assist); hoyer = needs hoyer lift; BR = bedrest; FWW = front wheel walker
