I have showered with these earrings in several times now, and no tarnish has appeared on them. I really like them, but they are not optimal for ears that are trying to heal, since the bar that goes through your ear is curved. It can get kind of uncomfortable if your ear has not fully healed yet. Otherwise, for fully healed ears, they work great.
