All ashes are different; some are very light and powdery; some are very dark and clumpy. This is a result of the diet, medical issues, metal in the body (pins) and/or the cremation process. We double-sift all ashes upon receiving them, but sometimes the sifted ashes clump together; we cannot foresee or correct this if it happens. We embrace the ashes as what they are and what they want to do - just like your loved one or pet, each one has its own unique personality...
