This is a Jyomon Dogu kokeshi doll, by Muchihide ABO Rokuchihide Abo (1950-) who is a Tsugaru style kokeshi craftsman in Tohoku, Japan.
Dogu is a clay figurine, which was made during the Jomon period (13000-2300 years ago) in Japan.
It is said that the Dogu, which was excavated in Aomori prefecture, is wearing something like snow goggles. This kokehi is wearing a big glasses on the head.
He made this style kokeshi due to the heritage registration of Jomon remains from the prehistoric site in 2021. He said that he had the Jomon idea before registration, but he was waiting for the memorial day for his hometown.
Because every kokeshi was made by hand, the expression of each doll is slightly different.
