Adult sized mittens are made in the round on double pointed needles - no pesky seams to sew up! I use a regular 4 ply acrylic or wool blend yarn that is easy to care for and wears well.This pattern is for women's size medium, or men's size medium (in parenthesis). You will need 3.5 to 4 ounces of any 4 ply yarn. I like variegated, but you can certainly make them striped as well!

The gauge is 8 rows = 1 inch, 5 sts = 1 inch using US size 4 (3.5 mm) double pointed needles and 4 ply yarn.

I liked this pattern. I use the children’s. I had two problems. The men’s med is very big. And found the thumb was too long on the women’s med.
