Flower petals. We all know them. We all love them. We all recognize them in sculptural form.

Here's a handbuilt vase form, made by EM Xray and me.

We shaped this piece from our usual clay, passing it back and forth to shape it. Some of that shaping involved flower petals. Afterwards, we glazed it with a variety of glazes I mix, including lava-effect glazes, ash, and oxides.

The result is a piece that appears different from every angle. This piece isn't for food, but it would be great for flower petals (such as are represented in the pot itself).

It's about 5 inches at the longest and 4 inches at the tallest.
