The Scallop Shell dishes, and Scallop Shell ornaments are displays and represent what you can order. These ornaments and dishes are Not hand painted. All the items are decoupaged and finished in layers of resin. This finish gives the shell a glass like porcelain looks and feel. The layer of resin over the gold leaf protects the gold edging from tarnishing over time. We do our best to pick out similar shells that are displayed in the pictures and to come as close as we can in size and shape but keeping in mind, no two shells will ever be the same, therefore, the shells can vary slightly in shape. This makes your ornament or tabletop dish a one of a kind. These items are sold as individual pieces not in groups. Please look at the item number you are ordering and the description of the item in the ad.
These XXL and XL Scallop both in white and lion paw shell are hard sometimes hard to find or buy. Quantities of both XXL and XL shells are always limited, we replenish the item as the shells become available. These are posted as I can get them.

🦪Materials: Oyster Shells, Scallop Shells, Gold leaf paint, blue glass beads, gold metal beads, blue satin ribbon with gold trim, UV resin - back of the shells may have wisps of gold highlights - The backs of the Lion Paw large scallop shells are not touched in any way -- they are simply glossed with lacquer.

🦪Description:
These unique, very bright and beautiful shells are great for gift giving or that special gift. These ornaments will add a coastal vibe to any of your decorations. When decoupaging these ornaments, placement of the design might vary slightly from those displayed if custom ordering.
Each one of these shells has been carefully hand picked off the shores of The Carolinas & Coos Bay, Oregon. The shells are gathered then set for washing. These shells are carefully cleaned and sun dried not bleached. There is no odor.
As you may have already guessed, all shells will have imperfections, so no two will ever be the same. The size, shape and imperfections of each one will vary slightly and that is what makes each shell a true one of a kind.
After we have applied a layer of white paint, we then decoupage the design on the shell and apply layers of UV Resin to give it that unique look and feel of porcelain/glass. We then carefully gild the edges with gold leaf that brings out the beauty of the shell. The back of these shells are finished with wisps of gold leaf highlights.
Care:
These shells have a beautiful luster to them, just wipe with a damp cloth and dry cloth to polish. These shells are water resistant and not waterproof. Do not use any chemicals to clean or polish. These shells are intended for indoor use. Not intended for outdoor use since prolonged sunlight may yellow the resin finish overtime.
These shells should be cleaned with damp cloth and not submerged in water, left in sun or put in microwave or dishwasher.
