Each embroidery floss color is painstakingly curated by hand, in real life, in bright white LED lights so that the finished pattern looks just as expected.

The charts are made with large grids to go easy on your eyes. And the floss color symbols are picked out so that you can instantly tell them apart, even when using the black and white patterns.

All patterns come with clickable links to cross stitch tutorials to get you stitching right away whether you're new to cross stitch or you need a quick refresher.

A pattern should be a JOY to follow, not another headache

Etsy has two convenient ways for you to do download a digital file.

1) After payment, an email will be sent containing a direct link to download the digital files. If you checked out as a guest, you'll find a link to download your purchase in the receipt email that was sent to you after purchase. Check Spam folders!

2) Once payment is confirmed, using your Mac or PC, go to You > Purchases and Preferences. (This feature isn’t available on mobile devices or in the Etsy app). Those patterns will be there for you as long as you have your Etsy account. So if you ever lose your pattern, come back and re-download it for free.

The colors you see on your screen may be slightly different from the actual pattern. Computer gremlins may have interfered with your computer monitor settings and skewed the picture just a smidge. Screen images are intended as a guide only and should not be regarded as absolutely correct.

I have every DMC color available and have compared them in real life under pure white LED lighting to curate the perfect combination of colored flosses.

Notorious Needle patterns are all PDF files. You will need Adobe Reader to open the file. It is available for download free of charge.

Unfortunately, the patterns themselves cannot be copied (as in “shared”) or resold without violating the copyright. Instead, tell your friends where to find the pattern so they can get in on the fun.

This is so frustrating, right? I mean, it says "Instant"...

Etsy says that digital files are available immediately after payment has cleared. And they say payment can sometimes take up to 48 hours to clear.

Etsy explains that this is usually due to a security issue, such as if the address entered in your Etsy account is not an exact match for the billing address entered on the account you paid with.

If it ever takes more than 48 hours, you should open up a ticket with Etsy.
