This is a 10k vintage rose gold pendant or brooch (it's made to convert from a pendant to brooch, and back again) with a carved genuine shell cameo. It is a wonderful estate Victorian item.

The cameo is of a Victorian woman. A round hidden loop in back flips up to wear this as a pendant. Some of the photos show what this item looks like as a brooch, with the pendant loop folded down. With the pendant bail up, it measures 1" long. The pendant/brooch measures 11/16" wide.

The 10K rose gold frame is a really nice pink gold color. Based upon the design and workmanship, I believe this item is over 100 years old, and likely older, but have no way of being certain. The hand carved cameo woman is elevated against the pink shell background, giving this a great look. The rose gold has a slight patina, consistent with age.

The gold is 10K solid gold and has been thoroughly tested and is guaranteed to be 10K gold. The cameo is genuine shell. The back of the brooch has a bit of non-gold solder on the pin connection, but this won't show when worn. This item weighs a generous 2.3 grams.

I've included a dime in one of the pictures so you can get a feel for size. For my international customers not familiar with U.S. currency, a dime is 17.9mm (or .7 inches) in diameter.
