Each scraper is therefore both a safer way for you to clean your BBQ and reduce waste going to the landfill.

BBQ brushes can be a dangerous way to clean your BBQ. The wires can break loose and end up in the food you cook on the grill. A friend of mine has one of these wire bristles lodged in his throat.

As you use your scraper to keep you and your family safe, it will become increasingly customized to your specific grill design.

Each scraper is approximately 14" by 4" and since each piece of wood is unique, your scraper will not look exactly as the ones pictured. All scrapers are made with reclaimed or scrap cedar.

Customizing Your BBQ Scraper

BBQ's don't have a single standard grill size. When you receive your scraper it will not have any grooves to correspond to the grill. Before regular use you will need to create the grooves customized to your grill.

Turn your barbecue on high heat. Once the BBQ is hot, place the tip of your scraper on the grill and while applying pressure, move your scraper back and forth to sear grooves into the wood. As you move it to other part of the grill be sure to align the grooves so that you only create one set of grooves that match your BBQ. Through use the grooves will deepen over time.
