HOW IT WORKS
The technique is simple: water, sand and air are filled between two glass panes. Sand is heavier than water and therefore will float down. The bigger the grains, the faster they move. But first they must find their way through a layer of air bubbles. Because air is lighter than water, the bubbles are floating up and keep the sands from falling freely. Waterfalls of coloured sands are slowly filtering through the air barrier.
Therefore, whenever you turn the picture, different magical landscapes appear like mountains, valleys, dunes or sometimes fantasy images.
