Where is your wood sourced from?

The majority of the wood used in creating items for ZachaTen is sourced from a small, local hardwood supplier and woodworking shop near my home in Kansas.

Can you do rush orders?

Please see estimated processing times to check and see if an item will arrive on time for you. The majority of my listed items have a 1-2 week processing time because they are made to order and require time to build, stain, and finish. If you would like to receive an item sooner than the listed processing time, please contact me by message first to determine if this is a possibility. If I accept a rush order, there will be an additional charge of $25 to ship within 3-5 business days from the date of purchase. Rush order requests do not include upgraded shipping - the rush is for the production of the item only.

Can local buyers pick up directly?

Yes! I encourage any local buyers in the Wichita area to reach out to me by message after placing an order to arrange a pickup. I also give discounts of 10-30% to local buyers who are willing to pick up from me directly. The discount percentage varies by item and the quantity of items ordered. The discount will be calculated based on the listing price and will be issued as a partial refund. If you're not local, but just happen to be driving through near my KS shop, I offer the same discount.

This item has had a high sales volume over the past 6 months.

Highlights

Made by ZachaTen
Materials: clear coat, hardwood

If you’re looking for minimalistic, high-quality, easy-hang floating shelves made from actual hardwoods - look no further! You can also choose any custom length to fit your space perfectly from 12” to 48” long. These are for 3” deep shelves – see listing for 4” deep shelves here:

https://www.etsy.com/listing/1885688534/hardwood-4-deep-floating-shelf-thin

These shelves are handcrafted from ¾” thick, solid hard maple, red oak, cherry, or walnut and finished with a satin clear coat to enhance the natural beauty of the wood and to improve durability. No stain - these are all natural, beautiful hardwoods! Each shelf is 3” deep (front of shelf to wall) and you can choose any length in 1-inch increments from 8” to 48” long. If you need shorter or longer shelves please send me a message.

Hanging is simple with the use of the horizontal keyhole slots on the back of the shelf. If you order a shelf that is 18” or longer, the keyhole slots will be placed at 16” on center to allow for stud mounting when possible. If your order a shelf that is between 8” and 17” the keyholes will be placed 1” in from each edge. Using keyholes and screws for hanging is surprisingly strong, especially when screws are installed into studs. If screws are not installed into studs drywall anchors are a must. Screws and drywall anchors are included with the shelf.

*IMPORTANT* - These shelves can NOT be mounted in trapped spaces (i.e. between two cabinets, a wall and a cabinet, etc...). For example, you can't order a 24" shelf and have it fit exactly into a 24" space between cabinets. The keyhole slots are horizontal and require some movement left or right. I recommend at least 2" extra space (i.e. a 24" shelf needs a 26" space). I WILL NOT accept returns or refunds for mistakes made in ordering as these are cut to size and in a specific wood of your choosing.

Hardwood Choices (shown in this order from top to bottom in listing photos):

• Hard Maple
• Red Oak
• Cherry
• Walnut

The shelf will be finished on all exposed surfaces. The back that sits against the wall is not finished. The shelves shown in the listing pictures are each 24” long.

Some different ideas for these shelves are as follows:

• Coffee Mugs
• Plant Shelf
• Picture Display Shelf
• Collection Display
• Figurine Display
• Knick-Knack Shelf
• Family Signs
• Home Décor
• Seasonal Decorations

* Please note that all pictures are from model shelves. Each shelf is like a fingerprint – slightly different and unique due to variations in the grain, color, and patterns present in the wood used for that particular shelf. This adds to its beauty and makes it uniquely yours! Listing is for the shelf, screws, and drywall anchors only – props used in the listing pictures are not included.
