I can recognize D 'Molina's work across a crowded room. Seriously. He crafts jewelry with details not seen in other Taxco pieces. This beauty is one that I've not run across before, and I'd keep it if I didn't have to pay bills. Back to D' Molina's artistry, LOOK AT THE DETAIL IN THIS BROOCH! There are many layers that provide the 3 dimensions of this beauty... layers upon layers even down to the grass and the tree. Oh, to help you to ID his works across a crowded room, you should know that D' Molina is the artist whose post-1979 registration number is TM-90. Enough about me, let's get on to the giraffes. I almost typed "onto" instead of "on to". That would be difficult.

As mentioned in the title, this brooch weighs just over 13 grams. That is darn near 1/2 ounce of sterling silver. This baby is SOLID. These adorable giraffes measure 1.6 inches wide and 1 inch top to bottom. There is absolutely no damage to note... The surface bears a rich, even patina that I, personally, would not touch. The back sports a high quality pin, hinge and rolling lock. The hallmarks are slightly incomplete. It reads TM-9 and STERLIN, but it's obvious that the last digit/letter didn't get stamped. This is, without a doubt a D' Molina work of art.

D' Molina's work is fascinating and HIGHLY collectible. You won't believe how beautiful his depictions of life are. I have several in my own collection. I stopped collecting dryer lint years ago and switched over to vintage sterling silver. Don't you think it's about time to do the same? Vintage sterling will only go up in value. Dryer lint, not so much. (Drops mic and walks off stage.)
