Please note that just the 14k gold vermeil is pictured at this time - I'm in the process of getting images updated to include the sterling silver.

These have a pleasant heft, weighing 1.84 grams. For the vermeil, the plating has been done in the USA and is X-Ray fluorescence tested to 3 micron thickness. All clasps are stamped "925".

This style is *wonderful* for hanging charms and dangles. If you love carabiners and fancy locks and clasps, this is a must-have.

My Bead Snobby self loooooooooves pairing fine stones with high-quality findings. These are NOT lightweight clasps with flimsy walls or sticky.

The coin pearls shown in the finished piece are about 11mm, if that helps you get an idea of scale!

I had people reaching out to me left and right regarding custom orders with mariner clasps and solid karat gold wasn't always in the budget. I tried many "gold fill" clasps from a variety of sources and could not, for the life of me, find anyone selling a substantial, well-constructed clasp with a durable gold plating. While browsing, everything seemed far too inexpensive to plausibly be for a "true" gold fill where at least 20% of the item weight is gold. A scan of the reviews indicated that there were customers who doubted that the item was actually gold fill. Reasoning these would be inexpensive mistakes to make, I ordered some. I received lightweight clasps of questionable construction and disappointing spring action. Eventually, I found a wonderful source for solid sterling clasps that had quality construction and I was able to move forward with getting an exclusive line of vermeil findings.

The plating thickness exceeds recommendations for items that get heavy wear. While nothing can match solid karat gold, these are meant to be the next best thing, with a plating of 3 microns.

Your beads/findings will come packaged neatly in a sealed plastic bag. Small items will be tucked into a reusable organza pouch and fragile items protected in a box. All beads/findings are placed in a bubble mailer for protection while in transit!
