This is fiber just off the alpaca after being sheared. It is not washed, it is not skirted, it is not picked through so you might find small amounts of dirt, 2nd cuts, and bits of hay/straw.

There is one bag of prime fleece from each animal. You are purchasing one bag of fleece, weighs 3-6 pounds on the average. My animals are very clean. Some ladies spin their yarn, then wash the yarn or even the finished product.

My animals are mainly shades of brown - from dark brown to tan (fawn), and a couple grey.

Several ladies have asked if alpaca fiber felts? YES - it is great for wet felting, nuno felting, and needle felting. And yarn made from alpaca fleece, can be made into an item (knit or crochet) and then felted.

I have added an alpaca fleece color chart to give you an idea of colors. This will vary on individual monitors.
