This set includes thirty-one grounding activities on sixteen double sided cards. Each card is a vivid picture with instructions of an activity to help you be fully present in the moment. The practice of grounding and mindfulness helps you to reduce anxiety and depression by putting your focus on the present moment, rather than the unhelpful thoughts in your head.
This colorful set includes cards of activities that use your five senses to help you focus on your environment with what you see, hear, touch, taste, and smell. Category cards help to focus your mind on something that will distract you from your current ruminating/negative thinking including: favorite movies, foods, places, and things you are grateful for to promote positive thoughts. This set also includes somatic regulation exercises such as box breathing and paired muscle relaxation to help calm heart rate and slow down breathing. ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) strategies can also be found on cards to help with noticing thoughts as just words rather than something negative to focus on.
Cards are printed on 16pt cardstock with gloss coating. Card size is 3.75 inches by 2.25 inches. Cards come with ring and hole punched for each carry.
