This is a vintage Linea Historica Paya Spain reproduction wind up tin metal toy car. This is model #914 Blue Auto Carrera 1932. Paya produced these in limited batches of 5000 from the original tin molds they used to produce these cars between 1906-1940. Once the 5000 were made the tools and molds were rendered unusable and given over to the Spanish Historical Museum. This car is number 3030/5000. It has the number stamped on the lower part of the drivers side door. It is in great condition. The wind up mechanism still works and the car will roll when wound up but it does not go very fast so I am unsure if that is intentional or if the coil is not as tight as it used to be. Since wind up mechanisms can become fragile with age I only wound it up a little bit to see if it still functioned. It measures 13 1/2'' inches long, 3 5/8'' inches tall, to the top of drivers head is 4'' inches, the car width is 2 3/4'' inches and wheel to wheel is 3 3/4 inches This car unfortunately does not have its original box or paperwork. I do have the paya catalog and a letter from one of their distributors that was written to the person I obtained this car from. If you would like to see them I can send you photographs of them. They will not be included with this car. I do have some other Paya reproduction cars from this lot that do have their paperwork. The previous owner was a paya collector so I am confident that this one is real. This one happened to be a display piece and the box was misplaced along with its paperwork.
