Wanted to love these but despite giving exact foot measurements they were ridiculously tight on my feet and the quality was lacking. Not foot shaped (very narrow toe box) or flexible like you would expect from a shoe advertised as barefoot. They’re definitely hand made but not well, left and right sole were different shapes, messy gluing of the upper and sole, doubt it would have lasted very long with use. I returned them and customer service was responsive and issued a refund but didn’t refund the sales tax. Add that to the shipping both ways and I’m out of pocket quite a lot of money with nothing to show for it. Very disappointed in how these were advertised, would never have bought them if they weren’t marketed as barefoot.

I bought these boots after comparing many minimalist boots. I ordered my usual size in US shoes and they fit perfectly; I could wear thin socks if I wanted to but normally don’t. The blue color is beautiful and the construction reminds me of native North American moccasins. They are attached by sewing to the leather soles I chose. I plan on waterproofing them with beeswax. I love the ease of the side zipper. They did smell like petro when they arrived; I put them on my back stoop overnight and the smell was gone. That smell could be from the shipping experience. I didn’t have any need to contact the shop BUT a small gift was included. That’s why I rated them highly for customer service.
