This is a lot of 3 vintage knee hugger, shelf sitter elves. One is more modern (the green and pink one with striped stockings holding the candy cane. It has a marking on the back of its neck - CN 302112003 S but I don't know for sure what era it is from. It measures 9 inches long and is in excellent condition. I would say this is more of an ornament or shelf sitter than a knee hugger although the body is wired for posing. The largest is the country styled knee hugger elf wearing patchwork pants and a hat and a houndstooth shirt. SO Cute! This elf has some fading on its clothing but overall good condition for its age. This elf measures about 13 inches long and has a "made in Japan" sticker. The last elf appears to be the oldest. The face has darkened age. The pants have a pin to hold them onto the doll. The body is wired and posable, just like the other two, but one of the hands, the wires are trying to poke through (there are pin-prick holes in the hands from the wires). His hands are not sewn together so he can hug his knees but you have to twist his hands. He's adorable in his red suit, beige vest and boots with his white scarf. He may be marked under the scarf but the scarf is glued on. There is a minor stain on his scarf. Very minor. He measures 9 inches long. These guys are delightful and will add joy to any collection!
