The dragon pattern has you putting the eyes too late. It should have been in the pattern as you go.

It's many small parts that needs to be sewn on, and it doesn't really say where, just "as picture" and then a picture on the ending product. But I think I figured it out pretty fine anyway. I made the fox and the axolotl, with cotton yarn.
