Why did you start making perfumes?

I started making perfumes because I wanted a specific fragrance, and couldn’t find exactly what I wanted! As I started experimenting with different fragrances, I quickly found that I really enjoyed the process of creating new scents. I can’t claim to be anywhere close to a professional perfumer, but it’s a hobby I’m passionate about.

What makes oil-based perfumes different?

Whether you choose a roll-on oil perfume, or an alcohol-based spray perfume, is entirely a matter of personal preference. Spray perfumes tend to be longer lasting, whereas oil-based perfumes usually need reapplying every few hours. But the lack of alcohol gives oil-based perfumes a cleaner initial scent, and they’re less likely to affect those with respiratory conditions than sprays, so are better to use in shared spaces.

Do you create custom fragrances?

Sorry, this isn’t a service I offer. Mostly, this is because people’s tastes in fragrances vary enormously. Even if you know exactly the scents you want, the finished product still may not be to your taste! If you want a custom fragrance, I would recommend seeing a professional perfumer face-to-face.

Can you put together a package for a bridal party/other event?

Yes, this is something I have done before! For events, I can do bulk orders of the same perfume, or a mixture of different fragrances. I would advise ordering samples first, before placing an order, to choose the fragrance you want. If you want the perfumes in different bottles to match your colour scheme, I can do this, as long as I have stock in, or enough time to order it. And if you want different labels, for example, an event name, or the names of the attendees, I can do this too! Please message me before placing an order.

Can I have the recipe for a fragrance?

Sorry, no. A lot of work goes into creating my fragrances, and I’m not willing to give out the recipe, so please do not ask. My fragrances use both essential oils and fragrance oils, and are suitably diluted with a carrier oil to be safe for use on skin. If you’re looking to avoid a certain ingredient, please message me, and I can advise which fragrances are unsuitable for you.

I want to post about your perfume on social media. How shall I tag you?

Thank you! I don’t currently have any social media accounts for the shop, as I don’t have time to properly maintain them, but I would still be grateful if you linked to the shop, or to the product!

Are your fragrances vegan?

I can’t 100% guarantee that any of my fragrances are vegan. Although I don’t use any animal products in my fragrances (I use a synthetic substitute for scents such as honey and musk) not all of the oils I use are specifically labelled to be vegan.

How are your fragrances packaged?

Full-sized fragrances, including fragrances in multipacks, come in glass bottles, and are packed in a cardboard box. This box is designed to protect your fragrance(s) during transport, rather than being intended as a gift box, so the box may vary in size and colour. Sample sizes are usually packaged in a plastic sleeve, but this depends on the product ordered. Paper, cardboard, and soft plastic are widely recyclable, so please do reuse or recycle the packaging if you have the facility. Orders will be sent out in a “jiffy” style postage bag, or a postage box for larger orders.

Do you accept returns?

Due to the nature of the product, I am unable to accept returns.

'The Birth of Venus' is a floral perfume inspired by the Roman Goddess, Venus, and her Greek counterpart, Aphrodite. Featuring top notes of rose and magnolia, and a musky base, this is a fragrance fit for a goddess. The title is taken from the Botticelli painting of the same name.
This perfume is presented in a pink ombré rollerball bottle, with pink ribbons, and a scallop shell charm.

My perfumes are made with essential oils and/or fragrance oils, suspended in fractionated coconut carrier oil; and are suitable for all genders. Each bottle contains approximately 10ml of oil-based perfume.

Directions for use.

Use the rollerball to apply fragrance directly to your skin. Try the inside of your wrists or elbows. Some fragrances are stronger than others, and will linger a long time. Others are more subtle and will benefit from being reapplied more often. Perfumes should never be applied to the face or genitals, and are not suitable for consumption.

Please remember that oil-based fragrances can sometimes stain fabrics while still wet. This just means that you should let your fragrance dry after applying, before letting it come into contact with clothing or other fabrics!
