This is a wood catchall tray mold for leather. This tool will make it possible to wet mold leather into sleek leather catchall trays. Each mold set is made from high-quality birch plywood making it very durable. Recommended for use on 3-6 oz leather.
Machining Process:
These molds have been designed with graphic design tools and CAD/CAM software. Every mold is then cut out by a state-of-the-art CNC Router machine and then sanded to a fine finish. Each mold is varnished with a mineral/tung oil finish. I take time to make sure everything is perfect while also shipping as soon as possible.

Basic Instructions
1. Cut the leather piece oversized (5-6oz leather Max thickness)
2. Soak the leather in warm water for about 10-15 minutes or until completely soaked.
3. Place the wet leather in the mold and place the two mold pieces together using the rounded edges to ensure there are no leather creases.
4. Place clamps on the 4 corners of the mold and tighten the clamps in a crisscross alternating pattern to evenly compress the mold.
5. Leave the assembled kit for 24 hours or until the leather is completely dry.
6. After the leather is dry use the mold as support when cutting out the tray.

Product Care:
When the product is used many times the grain of the wood will be raised due to moisture. To fix this take a medium grit sandpaper and sand down the rough spots.
