PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION CAREFULLY TO AVOID CONFUSION!
IMPORTANT INFORMATION ON DEADLINES! I am currently booked until the end of February 2025. If you order now, your jumper will be ready by the end of March 2025.
This is a reproduction of an early 1940s jumper from Lincoln Mills Knitting Book No. 667, titled the "Fancy Stripe Pullover." It has quintessential features of wartime knitwear (see photos): the very complicated stitch pattern designed to make use of small quantities of yarn available to people at the time, puffed shoulders held up by thin oblong shoulder pads. It will look as authentic as possible in your 1940s wardrobe.
I knit it from 100% merino yarn.
HOW TO CHOOSE THE COLORS:
Select the main color from the drop-down menu (represented by light beige in my sample photos), and then list the other 3 colors in the customization window: color 1 (represented by sage green in my sample), color 2 (represented by blush/orangy-pink), color 3 (represented by blue in my sample). You can also just pick the main color to place your order, and then choose the other 3 colors closer to the time I will be starting to knit your sweater.
Other yarn options are available if you cannot find a specific color you're looking for or would prefer a different fiber composition.
SIZING:
Please refer to the size chart in the listing photos.
If you cannot find a size that fits you in the chart, please choose the "Custom measurements" option and send me a message with your exact measurements.
If you know that the standard sizes usually do not fit one of your measurements (for example, just your bicep circumference or just your shoulder-to-waist length), please specify that measurement in the Personalization section.
