This is a hand painted ceramic pitcher made by Alejandro, a potter living near Cáceres, Spain.

Wheelthrown and handpainted, this artisan makes the whole process himself. He uses the traditional pattern of the area called Mosca or fly and the geometrical red or net, updating it with catchy and contrasting colors. This is a fantastic piece of Spanish folklore ready for your summer tables, or all year round if you want some fun tableware.

Alejandro comes from a family of potters in a village where once there were 60 potteries but now there are only 3 left.

100% food safe and while we recommend you hand-wash them with mild soap, you can wash them in the dishwasher.

Very beautiful- one oddity-glaze seems to turn darker when wet or has warm content- but then goes back to regular color once cool. Not a negative-these are beautiful!
