Very large and thick cutting board! The top edge is routed while the corners and bottom have sleek lines. Please note this is likely best for taller Chefs, as the added 3 inches to standard counter height can make the cutting angle difficult for shorter people... just ask my wife! Personally, at about 6 ft tall, I find it much more comfortable than using thinner cutting boards.


This board is:

• Handcrafted in Canada.
• Made using food safe and waterproof glue (Titebond III).
• Finished with FDA certified food-grade mineral oil and then buffed with an organic beeswax cutting board conditioner.
• Fitted with non-slip rubber feet using stainless steel screws, allowing for easy pick-up and minimal movement.

Comes with 2 oz. container of cutting board conditioner made from organic beeswax and mineral oil.

A bit about end grain cutting boards:

End grain boards have a "self-healing" factor, where the wood fibers close after they have been cut by a knife. In addition, end grain boards are easier on knife edges! Because of this, end-grain cutting boards are the preferred choice to keep a Japanese or high-end chef knife sharp. While long grain cutting boards are much easier to make and therefore much less expensive, the wood fibers are severed each time a knife cuts across. They will require resurfacing more often to rid the cutting surface of splinters. In addition, this slicing action dulls knives faster.
