Vegvísir
Norse charm called the Vegvísir. It comes from the Huld Manuscript, which was collected in Iceland in 1880 but contains much older information. The Vegvísir (Icelandic for "signpost") is intended to provide the holder of the charm with the ability to pass through rough weather without getting lost.
As seen in the famous Icelandic Singer, Bjork. Used on rune stones and by the ancient Norse...
"The symbol is more than two thousand years old and Bjork says that Norse painted runes on themselves when they got lost in fog or in alien lands. This tattoo design protects from dangers and always leads to the right way. Bjork thinks that after making this tattoo many things in her life changed: this sign helped her to find a way to her dream – she found her sound." - Designstattoo.net
Made in my own little home office. While most decals bought in stores are printed on clear vinyl, these are die-cut, hand-crafted items only available through my store. Every vinyl has my direct attention when I separate the negative space from the image. Truly a great price for the only hand-crafted, Die-cut-decal like this around!
