Cleaning Your Silver Silver tends to tarnish over time which is a normal chemical reaction. Tarnishing can be delayed by wearing your piece often. Exposure to the skins oils helps to coat your piece and delay the tarnish process. The safest and most effective way to polish silver jewellery is by using a soft polishing cloth such as a Sunshine Polishing Cloth. These cloths are specially treated to remove tarnish and leave a high polished, lustrous shine. Begin by gently rubbing the cloth on the surface of the silver, avoiding any gemstones. The dirt and tarnish on the jewellery will quickly transfer to the cloth. The more you use your polishing cloth, the darker it gets, but the cloth will still be effective even after many uses.

Sizing A Bangle To measure for sizing, place your thumb on your little finger as though putting on a bangle. Using a fabric tape measure or piece of string, measure the widest part of your hand that the bangle will have to slide over, usually the knuckles. Be sure to pull the tape measure or string snug against your skin. If you used string, mark the spot and then measure this length with a ruler. This is the circumference of your hand. If you prefer it to slide on easily, add 1/4” or 6.3 mm to your measurement. Alternatively, you can measure the inside measurement (diameter - distance across) of a bangle you have that fits well and then multiply that by 3.14 to find the circumference.
