What Does Gold-Filled Mean?

✨Gold-filled Metals ✨ • Karat gold at a more affordable cost than solid gold! • Gold-filled materials have a solid layer of gold over a base metal. The karat gold layer is at least 5% of the item's total weight. Gold-filled metals are MUCH more durable than gold plated. I’ve never had a single complaint about my gold-filled materials.

✨ I make my jewelry as strong as possible ✨ I use 49-strand stainless steel wire - the highest strand count available. I add sterling silver or 14K gold wire protectors at each strand's end by the clasp and ring to strengthen the bracelet. ✨Tips for prolonging the longevity of your jewelry ✨ • One of the most frequent comments I get from customers is, “I never take off my Gems by Kelley jewelry.” I love hearing that my customers love their jewelry! • However, I (and many other jewelers) recommend removing jewelry while bathing, swimming and sleeping to prolong the life of the jewelry.
