Shipping seems expensive on some item why is that ?

Large / heavy items are very costly to ship. A standing ashtray will take at least 2 hours to be packaged properly. I do not dissasemble them to ship because it is not easy the reassemble when you do not have experinece and knowledge. I do recycle box and foam but for larger items I usually need to buy a new large box, sometimes extended the box because there are not a lot of ready made box of the item specific size + styrofoam 4X8 sheet + a whole roll of heavy tape. Proper handling and shipping is costly

Why I do not clean items (most of the time )

A lot of collectors want their items as is = NOT cleaned ! Also most vintage items can be damage with a thorough clean. I destroyed a few piece cleaning so I learned my lesson on this. Patina is gold to most people but for others it's dirt ! So I leave it to you as to what conditions you want it ; as is or like new. On some items I wilI wipe dust off clean with water only.
