Make your own hanging buckle display with this detailed leather template. Template is designed for a decorative patch and 3 buckle spots, with instructions to add more buckle spots. These instructions are written for beginner leatherworkers that may need some guidance on order of assembly. The steps include the very basic work needed, but do not elaborate on tooling, edge finishing, dyeing and other techniques you may want to incorporate into your project.

DIFFICULTY LEVEL: Advanced Beginner/Intermediate.

SKILLS REQUIRED:
*Tool/stamp or laser engrave leather for decorative patch
*Stitching leather-machine or hand-stitch
*Mark and cut leather according to template
*Set rivets
*Punch holes

MATERIALS REQUIRED:
*1-layer : 1 5" x 30" piece of leather 6-8oz or thicker
*2-layer: 2 5" x 27" pieces of leather 3-4 oz
*additional 3-6oz leather for straps and hanging loop: 12" x 1.5"
*3/4" D-ring
*7 rivets
*Added length to leather body and straps for more than 3 buckle placement sections.
*Add 2 rivets for each added buckle placement.

Very easy pattern to follow and the video was great. I can really appreciate your method of pinching holes lol. The only complaint is that the instructions say that 30” of leather is needed when, in fact, the pattern is only 18” long. Use the actual pattern instead of the measurements and you’ll do great. 10/10
