Antiqued brass. Pale Prehnite. Timeless.
Brass has been used for personal adornment and decorative purposes since 500 BC.

Long, lightweight and lovely dangle ear ornaments!

The leaf focals measure 1 3/4" long x 1" at the widest section of the metal. Hand cut from 24 gauge jewelers' brass, textured with leaf vein pattern ribbon in a hand-cranked steel rolling mill in my studio. Texture shows on both sides, accented by a dip in dark Liver of Sulphur patina. Gently curved.

Faceted nugget accents of pale green Prehnite are flanked by olive green ceramic beads on hand twisted copper segments attached to the brass focal leaves.

Suspended from hypoallergenic Niobium ear wires.

Total Length: 3 1/8"

All metal components have been given a light coat of Renaissance Wax to help preserve the shine and slow down the oxidation process. A few natural oxidation/dark patina spots will give these beauties the look of vintage jewelry.

There are variations in the pair, due to the hand cutting and texturing process. There's a saying: "Artisan handmade earrings are sisters, but never twins."
