Vintage Table pyramid from the Erzgebirge of East Germany (GDR). Made in the 70s / 80s. Woodworking Art. In very good vintage condition. The pyramid is driven by four Christmas candles. The Holy Family in the center stays put, the three wise men with their gifts and one shepherd with his 2 little lambs stand on a wooden plate tha rotates around Mary and Joseph and Baby Jesus in the manger. Another shepherd stands on the sidelines with his flock of three sheep and watches the activity.

I was eagerly waiting to view this item - it looked so out of proportion in the photos. Instead, it is very unique with its over-sized bold handles, lovely copper sheen and brass lion heads. In one word “whacky”! Just love it! Bronnie (Melbourne)
