My doodles are intended for use in your own PERSONAL projects. You may not use doodles for commercial purposes or monetary gain. My illustrations may not appear in any type of items for sale or distribution, even if you are distributing for free. Please do not share or swap the image files with others. Please do not use illustrations to decorate blogs, websites, or social media accounts as this makes them available for others to download. Educators: You may use my doodles in curriculum-based materials and other items in YOUR OWN CLASSROOM setting, as well as in brochures, signs, flyers, and other informational materials to promote school activities and events.

Do you do custom work or special orders?

Since doodling is not my "real job", I never know how much time I'll have to draw during the week. In general, I do not take on requests for custom work so I don't end up making people wait. But I do keep a running list of suggestions and ideas I receive. So if there's something you'd like to have that isn't in my shop, I'd love to hear what you're thinking!

When will I get my files?

You will be able to download your files directly from Etsy as soon as your payment has cleared. The Etsy digital file delivery process is described here: https://www.etsy.com/help/article/3949 Note that doodle listings consist of "ZIP" files that you may need to "unzip" after downloading to access your images. On a Mac computer, you can unzip them by just double-clicking on the downloaded file. Some Mac OS versions unzip downloaded files automatically. If you're using a Windows computer or a mobile device, you may need to install an app or software that can open the files.

PNG stands for Portable Network Graphic. It is a common file format supported by a variety of different image editors and other software applications. PNG images are extremely versatile, and can be used for all kinds of creative projects, both digital and physical. The transparent background of a PNG image is perfect for layering into digital pages and compositions with text and other images. It will blend right into your work with no white edges or background to get in the way. You can make PNG images as small as you like with no loss in quality, and also scale them up slightly. There are limits to how much you can enlarge them before you'll start to see graininess and pixelation.

Do your doodles work in GoodNotes?

Yes! Each listing includes a pre-cropped sticker book for the GoodNotes iPad app. Download the ".goodnotes" file from your order, then use the import function in the app to add it to your notebook collection. You can import it as a new notebook, or as a new page in an existing notebook. Use your Lasso or Image Tool to select, copy, paste, resize, rotate, rearrange, and reuse your doodles to your hearts' content :) Alternatively, you can use the individual PNG images to create a new Elements collection. Note that if you are not a GoodNotes user, you don't need to download this file.

Can I use your doodles in my paper planner, journal, or scrapbook?

Each set includes a bonus PDF with all of the images on one or two ready-to-print pages. You can adjust the printing scale or print on different sized paper to make the images smaller or a bit larger. The pages are not designed to fit a specific planner size or format. If you have an image editing program and a bit of technical know-how, you can use the individual PNG images to make your own pages of custom-sized stickers, scrapbook embellishments, and other personal crafts. In addition to digital notebooks and planners, PNG files are compatible with most apps that handle images, including: image editors - Adobe, GIMP, etc. document editors - MS Word, Pages for Mac, etc. cutting systems - Cricut, Silhouette, etc. and many others!

If you notice that a set you've purchased already has been updated with new doodles, I will be very happy to post a link on my website for you to download the current version, free of charge. Please don't feel you need to re-purchase, even if it's more expensive than when you bought it originally. Just send me a note with your order number and I'll reply with a link. :)

DoodleBug doodles can be used for many different fun and creative projects, both digital and physical. Unfortunately, it's hard to provide instructions or technical assistance for all the different possibilities, not to mention the infinite variety of computers, software, devices, printers, and apps out there. To be safe, make sure you are comfortable with the right software for handling the included files before you make a purchase. Once you have downloaded the files from an order, refunds are no longer possible. If you get stuck, there are many wonderful tutorials on the internet made by generous and creative people. You’re sure to find some help and inspiration out there!

Do your sets still come with Cricut files?

In April 2026, I did a shop evaluation and made the decision to focus on digital planning apps. Following a transition period, doodle sets will no longer include cutting files designed specifically for Cricut. Instead, Cricut files will be available by request only. Please know that this was not an easy decision. I wish there were more of me so I could have time to make files for all of the different planning styles! Note that my doodles are still suitable for printing: * PNG images are provided at high resolution (300-DPI) * Each set includes a ready-to-print PDF Cricut files that were included with sets purchased prior to April/May 2026 will still be accessible from your order download page.
